7 Brothers Take the Oath of  3rd Degree

On April 25, 2010 the Epsilon Hexaton Chapter had seven current Brothers take the 3rd Degree Obligation. Timothy Hayes, Alex Miller, Patrick Slayton, Clint Stevenson, Daniel Donovan, Nate Taylor, and Daniel Strickland are graduating Virginia Tech this spring and therefore, reached Alumni status as a Phi Sig.

These are a very special group of men, as they mark the last remaining founding fathers from the re-chartering of Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech in 2007.  These seven brothers held many positions in the fraternity; Chapter President, Treasurer, Inductor, and multiple chair positions.

Phi Sigma Kappa will certainly miss these outstanding brothers, but they look forward to their return to Virginia Tech as alumni.  The current brothers will hold with them the many lessons and excellent examples that these seven men set during their years in our chapter.  The brothers are extremly thankful for all these brothers have done for our growing chapter over their years here, and wish them the best of luck in the future.

Epsilon Hexaton raises more than $3,700 for Special Olympics

The Epsilon Hexaton chapter at Virginia Tech raised more than $3,700 in support of the Special Olympics during its first-ever philanthropy, Phi Sig Olympics.

The chapter raised money through the philanthropy’s different events such as the opening ceremony and “Sub Station II day,” and by general donations from the seven participating sororities.

Phi Sig is extremely proud of the money raised and very thankful for the contributing sororities who made it possible. Sub Station II also deserves a huge thank you for donating a large percentage of its proceeds from the “Sub Station II day” to Phi Sig Olympics.

The chapter is already planning for next year’s Phi Sig Olympics with goals to surpass the money raised this year.
