On January 16, 2010, the Epsilon Hexaton chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa initiated 16 new members of the Delta Kappa associate class, the fraternity’s largest initiate class since re-chartering in 2007.

The Delta Kappa associate class began the semester-long associate process in late September 2009, after a fantastic rush. Over the process, the initiates learned the qualities of being true fraternity gentlemen in correspondence with Phi Sig’s three cardinal principles – Promoting Brotherhood, Stimulating Scholarship, and Developing Character.

As a new addition to the exterior landscape of the fraternity house, the Delta Kappa associate class constructed a gravel-walking path with stepping-stones as their associate project. The path connects the sidewalk on Eheart Street to the backyard and the basement door nearest Eheart Street. The associates put multiple hours of work into digging, shaping, filling, and finalizing the new walkway.

The new initiates look to immediately make an impact within the fraternity by taking active positions in the organization. Several new initiates have already taken positions such as the public relations chair, the fundraising chair, and as members of the rush and philanthropy teams.

There is no doubt that the addition of the Delta Kappa associate class to the Epsilon Hexaton chapter will lead to a positive growth for the chapter, not only in physical size, but also in the activeness of the chapter both internally and externally.
